ASTRONOMY

A

Status:Active, open to new members
Leader:
Denis O'Shea
When: Monthly evenings

If you are interested in astronomy, at basic or advanced levels, come along to our meetings.

We will cover the universe, from planets to the stars. The night sky, how to navigate, and show you free software to enhance your interest and knowledge.

There will be a monthly presentation on a particular subject: what is in the night sky for the coming month.

Bring your curiosity on the subject with you.

We will look at astrophotography. You don't need a telescope; a pair of binoculars will suffice to get a view of Andromeda, our nearest and merging galaxy neighbour.

Do you know which star is Polaris? Find out in the first presentation.

Dates and monthly charges are to be confirmed. Venue will depend on number of members who are interested.
