If you are interested in astronomy, at basic or advanced levels, come along to our monthly meetings.
We will cover the universe, from planets to the stars. The night sky, how to navigate, and show you free software to enhance your interest and knowledge.
There will be a monthly presentation on a particular subject: what is in the night sky for the coming month.
Bring your curiosity on the subject with you.
You don't need a telescope; a pair of binoculars will suffice to get started and take a view of Andromeda, our nearest and merging galaxy neighbour. Do you know which star is Polaris?. We will look at astrophotography.
Group meets on the second Thursday of the month at HYMB at 8:00 pm, except 13 August 2026 No Meeting.
Charge to cover the hire of the room £5.00 per person, per session.
