Future Holidays
Holiday 2025
Once again we have been asked if we would like to join the National Trust on their Christmas holiday - Warners, Cricket St. Thomas, Monday 24th November, 5 days & 4 nights. £520.
I have a few ideas regarding our holiday next year and hope to have more details over the coming months.
PREVIOUS TRIPS
JULY 2025
Our holiday to Warner's Norton Grange on the Isle of Wight was a great success, with three lovely days spent touring the island. Some days were a little too hot, but we had the most amazing coach drivers to assist us on and off the coaches.
Warner's provided the entertainment with two shows by their theatre company and two visiting acts. I think the most memorable in the main theatre was the Elvis tribute, with one of our members managing to secure herself one of his scarves. In the late bar on Wednesday evening Country Joe had all of us up for his final song.
APRIL 2025
We joined Hertford National Trust on their April holiday to Warners Nidd Hall, Yorkshire.
DECEMBER 2024
Monday 2nd December 2024, at Warners Gunton Hall, Suffolk. Included a visit to Holkham Hall, with a tour of the Hall and Christmas Market. This holiday was in conjunction with Hertford National Trust following our very successful holiday to Wales.
AUGUST 2024
Monday 12th August - Friday 16th August 2024 . The holiday to Lakeside Coastal Village, Hayling Island.
AUGUST 2023
Our holiday to Gunton Hall went well, the weather was extremely kind to us. We enjoyed three excursions during our time away. I think the highlight of those was the trip to Southwold where the sun shone throughout our stay.
AUGUST 2022
On Monday August 8th 46 members set off on our first U3A Cheshunt holiday, for a 5 day holiday to the Isle of Wight. The weather although extremely hot did not stop us having a great time, with members making there own arrangements to explore the island, while others enjoyed the 3 planned coach excursions Cowes for the morning on Tuesday. Around the island trip stopping for a sort while at the Pearl factory with several of us making some purchases, followed by a nice scenic ride on to Shanklin for lunch, before continuing our journey through the lovely countryside back to Norton Grange on Wednesday. On Thursday morning our last full day, the morning was spent at Allum Bay with free time to explore.
It may have been our first holiday, hopefully, it will not be the last.
