Coach trip to RHS Hyde Hall 2025

On 3rd July 2025, our group, together with members of the wider u3a, had our second trip to RHS Hyde Hall Gardens near Colchester.

Despite the recent hot weather and lack of rain the Gardens were still looking good. We made use of the cafés, shop and plant sales.

Once again everyone said how much they enjoyed the visit.

Copped Hall Visit - April 2025

On Friday 11th April we went to Copped Hall for a guided tour of the house and garden. Our guides were very knowledgeable and we learnt about the history of the house and gardens, which was very enlightening.

We had tea and cake, and some of us bought plants. Everyone said how much they enjoyed their time there. How successful it was and some were thinking of returning in the future.

Coach trip to RHS Hyde Hall 2024

On 5th September 2024, our group, together with members of the wider u3a, made a coach trip to RHS Hyde Hall Gardens near Colchester.

Fortunately, the Gardens were still in flower. We made use of the cafés, shop and plant sales, with a number of the group purchasing plants.

Everyone said how successful the visit was and how much they enjoyed it.

Gardening Group at Hyde Hall

At our meeting held at Tesco, Brookfield in October, members brought in cuttings and seeds from their own garden to pass out to others attending. We also discussed possible opportunities for future visits and the renewal of our RHS membership.
