Notice - We will move from the HYMB to the Tesco Community Room at the Brookfield Centre from October 2026.
If you are interested in astronomy, at basic or advanced levels, come along to our monthly meetings.
We will cover the universe, from planets to the stars. The night sky, how to navigate, and show you free software to enhance your interest and knowledge.
There will be a monthly presentation on a particular subject: what is in the night sky for the coming month.
Bring your curiosity on the subject with you.
You don't need a telescope; a pair of binoculars will suffice to get started and take a view of Andromeda, our nearest and merging galaxy neighbour. Do you know which star is Polaris? We will also look at astrophotography.
Group meets on the second Thursday of the month at Tesco Community Room at 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm.
While at Tesco Community Room sessions are free.
